, Executive Director- Debbie has more than 17 years of experience as and Executive Director managing a not for profit organization. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Alabama and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Auburn Montgomery. She currently serves as the President of the Alabama Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, serves as a member of the Alabama Transportation Coalition Planning Committee, the STAR advisory council and the Governor’s Office on Disabilities advisory council.

Interpreter- Shay received her B.S. in Rehabilitation Services from AuburnUniversity and attended the Orientation to Deafness Program at the University of Tennessee. She recently served as Interim Director of JCCD and has been with Easter Seals since 1997. She has the following cerifications: Alabama Board of Interpreters and Transliterators Permit and National Association of the Deaf Level II Certification.
Alicia Schneider
, Communications and Fund Development Directr– Alicia began working for ESCA in 2007. She came back to her hometown of Montgomery after receiving both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree at Southern Illinois University. She has spent many years involved in state and local politics as well as fundraising, marketing and development for local non-profits.

, Director of Business and Finance – Christy is a graduate of Auburn University Montgomery with a Bachelors Degree in History with a minor in Economics, She has over 17 years experience in bookkeeping. She is married to Michael Jarrett who works in General Assembly at Hyundai. She is actively involved with Delta Zeta Sorority and First Baptist Church Montgomery.

, Accounts Receivables Specialist- Anna began working for ESCA in 2006. Anna is a graduate with honors from Indiana University Bloomington with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Business. Anna is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society. She has also received a Bookkeeping certificate from Auburn University Montgomery.

Jenny Savage
, Director of JCCD Program and CARF Compliance Officer- jenny has a B.S. in Rehabilitation Services from Auburn University, MA in Counseling & Human Development from Troy State University Montgomery and a B.S. in Deaf Education from the University of Montevallo. Jenny is also a CARF surveyor (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) from 2005 to present. She has been employed since 1997 and holds the following certifications: Alabama Board of Interpreters and Transliterators License, Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Certification, National Association of the Deaf Level III Generalist Certification.

Instructor/Case Manager. Tora has a BA in Rehabilitation from TroyStateUniversity. She recently completed her Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. She also completed the orientation to deafness program at the University of Western Oregon.

, Interpreter. Vickie completed a summer enrichment ASL program from GallaudetUniversity and ASL and Deaf Studies classes at Phoenix University. She holds the following certifications: Alabama Board of Interpreters and Transliterators Permit (ALBIT), member of Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID) and the Alabama Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (ALDRID).

, Program Coordinator – Ed has 30 years of work experience with ESCA initially working as a vocational evaluator and later as a job placement specialist. He has a B.S Degree from AuburnUniversity in Rehabilitation Services and an M. Ed from AuburnUniversity majoring in Vocational Evaluation. He is currently a member of the Montgomery Area Committee on Employment of Persons with Disabilities.

Shelinda Mahone
obtained her undergraduate degree from TroyUniversity in Troy, AL in Rehabilitation. Shelinda has worked as the center’s Environmental Instructor for the local high school students who come to the center for training. She also manages the Senior’s who are here training as receptionist, snack bar operator and janitors. She also works with the DHR case load for community placement services through the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services. Finally, Shelinda conducts several job readiness seminars per week at the center.

S. in General Counseling from AlabamaStateUniversity and a B.A. in Business Administration from ColumbiaCollege. He is a Retired Master Sgt. from the U.S. Marine Corps. He has a National Association of the Deaf Level 1 Certification. He is also chairman of the Montgomery Area Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities.

Job Placement Specialist, she obtained her B.S. degree in Rehabilitation from Troy University in 2007. She's currently finishing up her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling at Troy University, as well. Arika is currently a member of the Montgomery Area Committee on Employment of Persons with Disabilities.

, Learning Disabilities Program Manager – Harriette began working at ESCA in July 1998. She obtained her undergraduate degree from MeredithCollege in Raleigh, NC and her Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from North CarolinaStateUniversity. Harriette and her husband live in Montgomery.
Melissa Marshall
, Learning Disabilities Evaluator. Melissa received her B.S. in Rehabilitation Services and Disability Studies from AuburnUniversity and M.Ed. in Rehabilitation Counseling from AuburnUniversity. She is currently a member (since 2007) of the Montgomery Area Committee on Employment of Persons with Disabilities and serves as the Fundraising/Public Relations chair.

Frankie Thomas
, Director. Frankie has more than 30 years of experience working with seniors and persons with disabilities. She has a degree from AlabamaStateUniversity in Sociology. She joined ESCA as the food service instructor for three years and was promoted to the welfare to work program as a job readiness instructor. For six years she has been the director of SCSEP. She has received numerous awards and certificates from National Easter Seals and host agencies for her dedication and contribution to serving seniors.

Kathy Welch
, Chief Speech Pathologist – Kathy received her Bachelors and Master of Arts Degrees from AuburnUniversity. She has been in practice for 37 years and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech/Language Pathology. She has worked at Easter Seals since 1982 except for a few years in the 1990’s. Kathy started the Summer Seals Speech Camp in 2000.
Speech Pathologists:
Cindy Devine- Cindy received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, from Auburn University Montgomery in 1998 and her Master of Science Degree, Speech-Language Pathology, from the University of Montevallo in 2001. Prior to becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, Cindy acquired an Associate of Science degree in Child Development from MuskingumAreaTechnicalCollege in Zanesville, Ohio in 1975 and retired from the United States Air Force in 1996 after having attained the rank of Master Sergeant.
Amy Hatcher
- Amy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Auburn University Montgomery in 2007 and a Masters degree in Communication Disorders from AuburnUniversity in 2009. Amy joined Easter Seals Central Alabama in July of 2009 as a speech-language pathologist. She is currently a Clinical Fellow and will complete her clinical fellowship year in mid 2010.

, Vocational Evaluator – Melanie started working for ESCA in May of 1986. She has a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation from AuburnUniversity. Her husband, Billy is the Laser Safety Officer at Baptist South and her son, Andrew is a junior at AlabamaChristianAcademy where he plays baseball and football.

Joyce Owens
, Program Manager – Joyce works with our consumers to assist them in developing and/or improving the skills they need to secure and retain employment. She serves as the Program Manager for the consumers who are enrolled in our Certified Nursing Assistant Program and supervise the individuals involved in our On-the-Job-Training Program with various businesses in the community.

, Director, CARE Project. Richard has been employed with ESCA since 2006. Richard came to us after retiring from the auto industry with 31-plus year of service. His wealth of experience includes a variety of positions and responsibilities within various departments including; production, support, materials, procurement/distribution & logistics
Sharis LeMay
, Certified Nurse Assistant Program Instructor – Sharis has over 37 year experience as a registered nurse. She taught childbirth classes for Baptist Medical Centers for 20 years and served as a school nurse and Health Services Director with Montgomery Public Schools for 27 years. She recently retired from the Alabama Department of Public Health as Assistant Director of Children's Health.

, Part-time Maintenance Director – Prior to coming to work for Easter Seals, Roy was in Sales. He started working here on October 29, 2001 as Maintenance and Transportation Director. Currently, he serves as Maintenance Director and Safety Director.
