Speech Therapy
Now Easter Seals Central Alabama offers a Life Skills Class!
The series will be taught in 10 sessions. Classes will be taught every Tuesday from 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m
Individuals will learn the following skills:
- Budgeting
- Time Management Skills
- Laundry and Ironing
- Prescription Pill Management
- Basic Cooking
- Job Skills
Participant Requirements:
- Must be 14-18 years old
- Must be at a 6th grade math and reading level
- Have difficulties with activities of daily living
- Delayed in social skills development
- Classes are limited to five students
Costs:
The series will cost $450 and must be paid in full before the classes begin.

Easter Seals Central Alabama's Speech Department serves clients of all ages with communication problems. These problems may be resulting from:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Stroke and traumatic brain injury
- Dysfluent speech (stuttering)
- Developmental delay
- Voice disorder
- Articulation disorder
- Motor dysfunction
- Cognitive impairment
- Clients with swallowing disorders
We serve clients from many of the surrounding counties and occasionally from other states and other countries.
The Speech Pathology Department is staffed by three full-time speech/language pathologists.
Easter Seals also serves as a clinical site for Auburn University, the University of South Alabama and the University of West Georgia to enable students to attain clinical hours toward graduation under the supervision of our certified staff.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, Medicaid, All Kids, other private insurance and private pay accepted as covered by your insurance.
